The Journey to Here.

So having disposed of Jen’s beloved Golf, stored all out worldly possessions- apart from those disposed of – locked the shed we set off to the airport for the trip to South Africa.

Fast Forward Brisbane / Sydney / Joburg / Durban / Avis hire car and off to out first night stop in Durban – Seaforth Farm B&B. You will notice that our preference is for B&Bs rather than hotels. This is more a residue of my corporate travel life than anything. Anyway our choice of Seaforth Farm was another cracker.

Seaforth Farm close to the airport and beautiful appointe As for the breakfast – wow. We hosted Ashleigh – Jen’s niece – for breakfast as she lived close by and we had last seen her 11 years prior during a previous visit. Many selfies and breakfast pictures later we said goodbye to Ash and set off for the next stop – Howick.
We had booked into the Impangele B&B and another great place it was. We spent the next few days getting reacquainted with family (both Jen and I have family here) buying supplies for the Berg and laying in lots of alcohol.
A short – uneventful – but beautiful drive from Howick brought us to our destination Glengarry in the Kamberg region.
