It is not very often that the whole family gathers together but it was decreed that the 90th birthday of the family matriarch was indeed such an occasion. So discussions were had, locations proposed, dates suggested until it was finally agreed that the first weekend of March in the Kamberg area was suitable and bookings made at Glengarry.

Jenny and I, not ones to waste an opportunity decided to make the most of it and turn the opportunity into a 3 month long tour of Southern Africa. To achieve this we both took early retirement, packed all our worldly possessions into the shed, put tenants into the house, sold Jen’s car and set off overseas. All this in about 2 weeks. Hectic was hardly the appropriate description!

When we get back from Africa the plan is to load up the cruiser and continue around Australia.
