Just the two of us…

The story so far

House into shed, tenant into house, car sold, Brisbane / Sydney / Joburg / Durban / Seaforth Farm B&B / Howick / Impangele B&B / Glengarry (repeat) arrival of 19 family members from 5 countries / braai and beers / wine Savanna (repeat x3)/ farewells and Diaspora once again.

After a day of sitting around and moping we decided that today was going to be a day of activity, come rain or shine. Well into the cold rainy morning we headed – destination (destiny) the Game Pass rock art. Whether we would walk all the way to the top was in the lap of the gods. Drive there was the usual panorama of workers in hives clothing clustered around a hole. Not quite sure why but seemed to be the norm around here.

Arrived at the Kamberg office and put off the decision by watching a rather grainy video about the people and the history of the area. Emboldened by this burst of history we decided to walk to the Waterfall Cave. Apparently you cannot go further without a guide, and guides were rather scarce at that time. The walk was actually very pleasant and not very taxing – just made for us.

Some pics of the waterfall and rock art. We dod not go as far as the real caves as we did not have a “real” Kamberg guide. We do obey the rules, well some rules, sometimes.

Above this waterfall you shalt not venture without a Kamberg guide. So we did not.

The cave under the waterfall – beaut views and some rock art. Loved this cave though.

Some of the rock art.

The view through the waterfall.

After this arduous walk we decided to drive through to Giants Castle for lunch. The weather had really closed in by then so it was lunch and not much more – except these guys on the way out.

and so back to Glengarry to pack for the next stage of this adventure.
